Not sure they know any other way. If England lose an early wicket, Australia will have Lyon on immediately to hunt Pope. England got 22 before the opening wicket fell in the first innings, so they'll be looking for more than that.

It’s effectively a one innings game now. I’d give Australia the edge purely because Lyon is significantly better than Ali.

They've won 11 in 13 playing this way .... why should they change especially given the state of play and the prospect of weather.
 
I can definitely see us being 80-5 in this second innings before a bazball fight back.
 
what is a good score to give our bowlers a chance, we looked all in and not much left in the tanks plus Moeen's finger,
300 would be nice but plenty of time left in the test match

Don't expect them to do anything else and, as you say, when it has proven effective, why would you? Even if the weather does intervene and this one ends a draw, England will still hope to go to Lord's with the positive impetus of having been on the front foot from this Test.

Im just waiting for rain intervention and us declaring on 178 on the 5th day to try and force a result lol I joke obviously
