Not sure they know any other way. If England lose an early wicket, Australia will have Lyon on immediately to hunt Pope. England got 22 before the opening wicket fell in the first innings, so they'll be looking for more than that.NO bazball please, value our wickets and get a score on the board that on a 4th innings wicket they don't fancy getting
They've won 11 in 13 playing this way .... why should they change especially given the state of play and the prospect of weather. Not sure they know any other way. Don't expect them to do anything else and, as you say, when it has proven effective, why would you? Even if the weather does intervene and this one ends a draw, England will still hope to go to Lord's with the positive impetus of having been on the front foot from this Test. They've won 11 in 13 playing this way .... why should they change especially given the state of play and the prospect of weather.
Im just waiting for rain intervention and us declaring on 178 on the 5th day to try and force a result lol I joke obviouslywhat is a good score to give our bowlers a chance, we looked all in and not much left in the tanks plus Moeen's finger,
300 would be nice but plenty of time left in the test match
