I will listen to Vaughan top captain.Pietersen not saying much different from Vaughan.
However u are only as good as your bowlers.We have 4 seamers who bowl the same.Wood is a big miss as is Stone,we have no top class spinner.Starc,Cummins and Hazlewood would have had us 60 odd for 4 at lunch in those conditions

What I watched today was properly the worst bowling attack by an England team at Lords on the first morning of an Ashes test, Win the toss and bowl was on everybody's lips, the wicket had a bit of green grass rolled into the wicket and conditions were Perfect for swing and seam bowlers,
But we looked Old and slow unfit and lack of test-match cricket in the legs and body, how can we come back from this I don't know, but when the Aussies come out to bowl they will have over 400 on the board and will bowl as we all know they bowl at lords (top off-stump) then spin cleaning up the tail of the England batting,

It looks cloudy for the next few days so we gonna get blown away, by this Aussie attack, I would suspect.

Very sloppy day of cricket from England today. Lucky to have 5 down in the end with the 2 Aussies tossing their wickets away at the end. Can see Smith getting a big score and the Aussies over 400 which will set them up well.
This is going to 5 nil if it does not rain.
Sorry Glenn McGrath but you're wrong. Absolutely no chance it's going to be 5-0 at home.

Root, Stokes and Bairstow. Possibly one of the openers to replace a largely out of sorts Warner these days. Maybe even Brook for someone as well.
Broad for Boland or Starc as well possibly.

For people slating Bazball off the back of yesterday's performance, that would be all well and good if it was us that had gone in to bat, chucked a load of wickets away while trying to twat every ball back over the pavilion for six, and been skittled for 120. However, we weren't batting. We were bowling and bowling shite without ever putting any meaningful pressure on them. That is as far removed from Bazball as you can get because Bazball is all about playing aggressively rather than passively.
Obviously joe root would but aside from that probably notIs there 1 English player that would get in the Aussie's side?

Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting discussed the change brought about to the English Test team commenting on how McCullum had managed to "change the attitude of some of the English players to not be scared about getting out and to be fully committed to thinking about scoring runs and when you get the ball in your hand to be as aggressive as you can and set nice and aggressive fields."
