Fucks sake, as if 2 0 up isn’t enough they’ve got Joe Fucking 90 playing for them
Exactly this, at times over the last few years he was our only ‘True’ test match player, certainly the only one who showed any pedigree, I don’t think the management or captain have tried to change him, it’s his desire to adapt & be like/better than others at Bazball, when all he has to do is maintain that 59 averageRoots had an absolute stinker last two days! for me it started with his running down the wicket to Lyon getting stumped! Funny thing with cricket take the piss be overly confident/Arrogant it will come back and bite you on the arse! The reserved Root is what I want back!
Yeah, he's the one player who doesn't really have to adapt to Bazball as his natural game is to score quite freely anyway. All he has to do is stick to what he's been doing this past decade or so.Exactly this, at times over the last few years he was our only ‘True’ test match player, certainly the only one who showed any pedigree, I don’t think the management or captain have tried to change him, it’s his desire to adapt & be like/better than others at Bazball, when all he has to do is maintain that 59 average
Batsmen*
Batters being the new pc term is horrible English. Sounds like an American thing.
Don’t be stupid he is mates with stokesBairstow might get dropped.
Relying on Stokes again and hopefully a pissed off Bairstow can turn the anger into some runs because he certainly can't turn it into catches.
No discipline when needed……A shot there that would be fine at 150 not out - slashing at a very wide one.
It’s the same as ‘player of the match’ rather than man of the match in men’s football. Changes for changes sake.I agree it sounds ugly, but I don't think it's a PC thing as much as trying to ensure that they're used to the term for when they're covering women's cricket.
