Thing is, we can get within 100 and still technically be in it… but we’ve shown no evidence of significantly outscoring Australia at any point in this series so why is the next innings going to be any different? Even with Stokes heroics we only narrowly beat their second innings score at Lords… and even with a great innings from Wood we’re still trailing in their wake.

Who in this team looks like showing up and turning it around? None of them.
