Errrrr it’s Manchester. ;-)Weather looks ropey for the weekend, hopefully we get 3 days without a stop.
In football it's a deadline to hand in the line-ups to the officials - the actual make-up of the team can be announced in advance if they choose. In cricket IIRC the deadline to finalise the starting XIs is before the toss takes place. Can someone explain why England have announced their team with 3 days to go before the test and Australia have not announced theirs. Surely as with all sports (i think) the teams should be announced at the same time.
Yes totally get that, but it would be very unusual for a any team to name their line up days before the opposition, although I understand they can choose to do so. Football an hour before kick off is the deadline and as you say in cricket prior to the toss taking place.
Just don1t understand the reason for announcing your line up days before the match, I suppose you could use it as a ploy but that`s just not cricket.
I am.Is anybody using the Lancashire cricket app for their tickets ? Mine are showing in the ‘transfered’tab but not in the ‘my tickets’ tab ?
Let me know how you get on , what day are you going?I am.
Let’s hope it activates as we approach otherwise it’s going to be carnage!
The Aussie team picks itself to be fair:Can someone explain why England have announced their team with 3 days to go before the test and Australia have not announced theirs. Surely as with all sports (i think) the teams should be announced at the same time.
Already lost them on Sunday unfortunately.Looking at how England women are batting it looks like the last ODI may well cost us the ashes. Fine margins
