Not worked so far, then. If it wasn't financial, I'm struggling to see why it was introduced. The T20 was well established at that stage, along with the 50 over "one day cup". There was no need for another one day competition. And, going on what you linked, no real appetite for it.![]()

That all depends on whom you listen to and how things are counted. Those who oppose it say it is losing money and not making as much as Deloitte had predicted, whereas those who are in favour of it say it is doing okay and that it is still too early to say; they also point out that it is raising the profile of the women’s game. That last point may well be true but that might not be enough to satisfy the bean counters.But it’s losing money isn’t it?

Mate who’s been to The Hundred the past 2 years says he won’t go again this year, because last year it was a lot more sanitised and less enjoyable.T20 if run properly, could be the major cash cow of the game.

He felt last year they’d altered the vibe compared to the year before, and tried to go too far in the ‘family friendly’ direction, at the expense of people who wanted to go and enjoy it with a few of pints with a bit of atmosphere.
He said T20 was now much better.
