Zero analysis of the days play on Sky for the Test World final. Seems a little disrespectful for such a big occasion.

Straight onto a Blast game instead. I love the Blast but they could put that on another channel for a bit.

The test championship should be a 3 test series.
Two really good sides (err obviously...) but one bad day with bat or ball and you're done!

Still a great watch, mind.

Pitch is better now, and we know the Lord’s pitch stays true for the five days!

Think South Africa could chase 350 on that pitch but need to be a bit more proactive, taking a run to alternate the batters.

As so often with the bloody Aussies, you think you've got them, and then they got up off the ropes. That drop off Starc really hurts. But what I also notice is the extras: 22. Add Starc's knock to that, and you've got 80. I suspect that's just about what SA will lose by.

Sick of the Aussies winning everything. Worse than United in the 90s and noughties.

There are lots of flaws with the competition. The fact the final is only one test is probably the least of them!

BBC Cricket website asking if South Africa's Markram is the first player with a palindromic name. Reminds me of a NZ cricketer a long time ago named Cunis, somebody on Test Match Special offered the thought that he was "neither one thing nor the other."

Very good.

Rag “target” Ekitike is another pallindromic name.

It only takes a couple of wickets falling in fairly quick succession to give the Aussies hope. You can never write them off in this type of scenario. It's imperative that Markram and Bavuma stay together as long as possible. It's only day three; there's no need to be taking any risks. Get them in singles if need be.

Nah. South Africa will piss this.

They do need to get as close as they can by stumps tonight though. There’s biblical rain due overnight which might make the wicket more spicy in the morning.
