When I played cricket for school as I was semi-decent with the ball but absolutely bang average with the bat.Number 11s at the crease always makes me smile. The phrase "cat on a hot tin roof" springs to mind.
I did have a slight knack of making it awkward for bowlers that knew me though as I was so uncomfortable and unauthodox that they didn't really know where to ball to me.*
*Granted the smarter ones knew that if they aimed at the stumps I would most likely have myself out within 3 balls max..........

I see India's scoring has slowed down a lot so far today. Unless they get bowled out, I can see them wanting a lead of 300+ which means they could be batting most of today unless they suddenly start smashing it all over the place. If the weather's iffy for tomorrow, I'm beginning to think the draw might be a good shout but looking at the current odds, the draw is 4/1!Good start they’ve had a bit of luck but looks pretty dead now

We really could do with India being 6 or 7 down at lunch (all out would be better!). That looks highly unlikely now, bar an old fashioned England-style collapse.

They’ll have the players to start smashing it when they reach 240 and feel they not far away from a decent score

I think we can chase 300. 350 would be a challenge but doable and 400 would be really pushing it.

This is slipping away again, isn't it? Two dropped catches, just today. One didn't cost us too much (six runs), the other is costing us big time. Bloody irritating.

Nice to see Archer just took his first wicket back for Sussex. We could do with him getting back to full fitness, because this England attack is toothless.

India won't declare at much less than 400 ahead. There's 4 sessions left now, so they'll be looking for 45 minutes maybe at the end of the day.
Any earlier and England will have too much of a chance of chasing it.
