Been out of the room 15 mins, how many times have India had the ball changed? There’ll be more fucking ball changes at Lords than Wimbledon today

I'm reluctant to use the word "cheats". They do, though, seem to push the laws to the limit. Didn't they hold out against DRS for years, after every other nation had accepted it?
Yes they did. They never admitted it but everyone knew they didn’t want reviews as they knew they got miles more marginal decisions than anyone else

Smart move by Dukes to have their balls go useless after ten overs.

Sell eight times as many.

To be fair, it didn’t look useless when they asked for it to be changed!
On a side note, can the batting team request a ball change? Instinctively I think not, and I’ve never seen it, but I don’t know.
I’d guess they can, but as they don’t examine the ball as closely, they’d only notice if it was badly out of shape or bits hanging off it.

I felt like 350 would be a decent score from where we were overnight, but 400 would be brilliant if we can get anywhere near it. Still concerned by our bowling so getting closer to 400 helps. Stokes possibly carrying a knock, Archer back after 4 years, Woakes and Carse bowling again in a short space of time....doesn't sound great. Hopefully Woakes does his thing at Lords again. Huge opportunity this for Bashir as well - he might not take wickets but he has to tie an end down when he bowls.

Looking like another excellent test match.

It wouldn't have been a bad effort if we could have scraped up to 400, but I can't see Carse and Bashir adding 30. It would have given the bowlers something to defend.

If they add another 3 I'd take it! Carse is going to have to keep Bashir off strike as much as possible.
