It’s a good pitch but this now is where the bowlers should dominate step up get wickets! Am thinking not declaring last night is a mistake

Some horrific swipes with the bat and some horrific bowling today. We abandoned line and length far too early and they played us at our own game, sending the ball to the boundary consistently.

This is the critical period but the ball is soft, we need to be down to their tail by close.

It would be completely illogical to expect us to bat well enough in our second innings to set them anything challenging to win the test. It doesn't matter if the pitch has deteriorated, it's going to need to be a minefield for us to have any chance.

Edit - change of ball might be the key here. It will be harder - it might just give us something extra.
