The icing on the cake.
Fuck him. Remember the shite he spouted about our owners?
The icing on the cake.
3 out of 4 tests have been done in under 2 days. I'm sorry that is pathetic in 5 day cricket.
Fair point, but one of those that wasn't, pretty much was the way we played in it.2 out of 4 but yes that's still bad enough.
I doubt the Indian Cricket board would favour such an fair play approach to test cricket. It’s why pitches should be prepared by World cricket not a grounds man who thinks I will leave the grass a bit longer for this test match!
If the ICC implemented such an idea, it would have little choice.I doubt the Indian Cricket board would favour such a fair play approach to test cricket.
One big difference between the teams is the quality of fielding / catching that hasn't got much to do with Bazball. We drop too many catches as well as some of our players giving away their wickets too easily. The accuracy of our bowling attack could have been better too.I’m not saying Bazball is the answer but our win percentage in tests prior to that was utterly shite. I didn’t see too many people wanking off over the England cricket team back then, and playing that way wasn’t exactly effective in Ashes series down under because since the 2010/11 series there - which we won by playing a lot of positive cricket - we didn’t have a single test win to our name until today. As such, there’s a serious amount of revisionism going on here. While questions need to be asked about how we approached this series and how we applied ourselves during the matches - and in between them - it wasn’t all down to Bazball. In fact, looking at some of the run rates I’d argue that Bazball cleared off from the England team after the first test and didn’t make a reappearance until today’s successful run chase.
so not much between them then apart from..... ;)One big difference between the teams is the quality of fielding / catching that hasn't got much to do with Bazball. If we had used a traditional Third Man fielding position then we could have won this series.
It was the wicket rather than the players in this test bud which leaves 1 out of 4 where you can lay blame with the batsmen.3 out of 4 tests have been done in under 2 days. I'm sorry that is pathetic in 5 day cricket.
You underestimate the influence India has on the ICCI doubt the Indian Cricket board would favour such an fair play approach to test cricket.
If we could match the Aussies fielding / catching there wouldn’t be a lot of difference between the teams. Especially, now more of our players are getting a bit of a better understanding of Aussie pitches.so not much between them then apart from..... ;)
Apparently gonna cost the Aussies £5m this 2 day test!
So two 2 day tests, one 3 day test and the other that went to the last day.
Stokes and Baz are geniuses!
Basically bankrupting Cricket Australia single-handedly!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw the film death of a gentleman and that pretty much killed most of my passion of Cricket after seeing the power of England/India/Australia carving up the game for themselves. You underestimate the influence India has on the ICC
He meant himself. No other **** would want to be seen with him.The whole family to Australia for one day of cricket, and people believe him.
Just think of the sixes they got, deliberately top edging knowing safely that there was no fielder there to catch it, especially in first two tests.I’d always have a 3rd man fielding position but captains seem to think it’s for bad bowling!? But cricketers now can hit it there for easy runs! Noticed Australia had men out to stop the four runs more than most test series
