Cristiano Ronaldo - not City

Did someone really say all Bellemy only wanted what's best for the team? like twatting Rise with a golf club or shitting out a tackle at home to Spurs that resulted in a goal, then after the match he was fawning all over Redknapp on the pitch.

Some of the lads need a whack with a golf club to wake them from their slumber this season ;)

But on a serious note, Bellamy was cancerous! I think the more time that passes, the more people forget what a **** he was. Same goes for Tevez.

From a "holistic" point of view, Ronaldo just doesn't fit. Great player who would probably win us the league on his own, but it doesn't seem like something Txiki would pursue. Hope he can convince Leo...maybe the cannibal will bite him or something.

In my optic it's exactly a player like Tevez we need again, to fire up the players when needed.

Silva is trying to that currently, he's more and more often talking/shouting to the ref and doing the dirty tackles etc.

He's still the second best player in the world.

The gap is widening also in most peoples eyes and Ronaldo can't even begin to accept that it seems from his antics, the moody shithouse.

Has love made you go blind mate? Messi and Ronny have the same number of goals this season and Ronny was the Ballon D'Or winner just a couple of months ago. Watching El Classico on Sunday, Messi was the shadow of the player that tore us a new one just 4 days previously, did very little in the game and Ronny (often accused of being a flat track bully) scored for Real.

Imagine the Rags reaction if we signed him, they'd be crying in their cornflakes in Singapore.

And on what basis are you making that statement?

Both those players are born winners,id love eleven with their attitude.

Just an opinion mate, but his open rebellion and love-in with 'Arry put him up there in the **** ranks along with Tevez Woods and Cake boy, IMO.

Based purely on work rate and drive as players I agree with you, they were fantastic. My previous comment was solely targeted at people forgetting what Bellamy and Tevez were like off the pitch. I'm sure the same will happen with regards to Yaya.

Personally I don't care one bit what they do off the pitch as long as it doesn't affect their performance in the hallowed blue shirt. If a player always gives 100% for us and his team mates that's good enough for me. If he scores 40 goals a season for City he could shag my mrs and I'd still want him in the team! Too many currently give the appearance of not being very arsed for my liking.

It is strange how Hunter has phrased this the players are confident? not the club, the hierarchy, just the players?

Hunter is well connected and not one for hyperbole so i am intrigued as to what he is getting at.

One other thing about Ronaldo at 30 or Messi coming for the sky high deals it would take.

We are not alone anymore and a deal with either could well incorporate a trip to New York and then the commercial stuff that would come with the largest sports market in the world, particularly now soccer is looking like it is embedding into the US conscious.

I wonder now how many players will be signed by City or CFG and the avenues open there. Working on the premise that if Ronaldo signed a seven year deal which allowed promo work, image rights and christ knows what else with CFG and he spent four/five years with City then a contract renewal and a move to the US, City may well not be out of pocket and the player will be more than compensated.

There is a reason we are in New York and putting together those types deals may well be the loophole City need to deal with FFP, win money and make the deal viable for all.

No coincidence either with Ronaldo wanting to go to MLS article recently;

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/cristiano-ronaldo-to-join-mls-in-summer-2018-report-says-10114875.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 14875.html</a>

So he does a few years with City (cement his legacy if he wins the Champion's League with us) and we work out a package for him to go to New York for his retirement. Seems to make business sense for everyone and Brand Ronaldo. Win win.

Hunter seemed very confident.

Take away the moodiness and shit and they may be flying in the league, it's not an unreasonable claim.
If he just played a bit more for the team then maybe but not after Balo ! i learned my lesson.
The only one worse would be that wanker ibrahimovic, he is a right egotistical nobber tbh.

2 years ago RVP was the best player in the League.

It would cost upwards of £60m and ridiculous wages to sign a player who within 18 months would become a massive liability
