My reasoning is if ronaldo moves to city, it kinda proves he doesnt give a fuck about united or United fans, and values his Real legacy more coz he wouldnt move to barca. From our perspective its 20-25 goals guaranteed in a way that no other last minute option offers except lewandowski who would cost 4 times the cash. Its not what I would have chosen at the beginning of the window but look, we have 7 days to do a deal, maybe less if we dont initiate until Kane officially fails which could be 2-3 days before the deadline. Juve want him out, he wants to go and this would get done in an hour.

Can understand the reaction for not wanting Ronaldo but you can't argue he would get a tonne of goals up front. Shame he played for the rags.

If Messi had played for United previously and then spent five years using City to bump up his wages at Barça (which he did actually do) he’d be our most despised player of all time.

But Messi is favoured by City fans despite him using us over the years for his own bank balance, because he’s not CRonaldo who used to play for the Rags.

Messi was crying his eyes out the other week because he “had to” leave Barça. But when you look at what Barça have done for him, how much they’d given him in wages previously, he could have come out and said “I love this club so much I’m going to play for free”. But he’s such a weasel, he lead Barça on for two years, used City which meant we missed out of Kane last Summer, and then fucked them off as soon as he could.

I can’t stand Barça but Messi is a fucking knobhead!

Don’t get me wrong. CRonaldo is a fucking knobhead n’all but he actually doesn’t seem to come across as much of a knobhead as Messi does off the pitch.

It would have been impossible for him to play for barcelona for free, la liga rules state a players wages in a new deal can't be more than 50% less than the last Contract. Essentially players can't take more than a 50% pay cut.
