Pep didn't confirm or deny any thing. he literarily said any thing can happen in the next 3 or 4 days
and he always say he's happy with the squad he has so nothing new

What's new here is what Solskjaer said. because what he said indicates that they're in for him as well

Let's wait and see

He did say any deal would be "far far away" and that if he's being honest he thinks the squad will stay the same. I didn't expect him to announce him signing but it felt a bit like he was resigned to not having a striker. We will see, will hate it if he gets to the scum though!

OGS and Pep couldn't have been more different in their responses. Pep downbeat and guarded. OGS smug and seemed upbeat.

Obviously with the Mendy situation and Kane let down, Pep announcing about the end of his contract etc he's had a lot going on this week to say the least!

My gut feel is that this won't happen now. But let's see. City give Ronaldo a better chance of achieving what he wants to achieve, but they're obviously going to go all out to try and get him.

So what would've been the point of the rags signing Cavani if they're now in the frame for Ronaldo, just another waste of 300k a week if you ask me. What will be will be, either going to be a great window or an ok one, we'll know for sure on Tuesday

Love the flapping people do with every single little detail that comes out. Do people really think United would let Robaldo go to City without making it look to their fans that they atleast tried to sign him?

People really freaking out on here over Solksjaer smirking and Guardiola avoiding questions.

OGS smirking could just mean he's uncomfortable or trying to cover the pain of the idea of Ronaldo at City.

Anyone who's watched a Pep press conference before knows that that is absolutely standard form for him.

Let it play out.
