I doubt Kane would have come out with his statement without us giving him some form of confirmation it was no longer happening. Don't think he would have decided it on his own if we were still interested, even If Levy said he'd refuse every offer, not with 5 days left to go. And I also wouldn't have exoected him to have decided it pretty quickly, i.e this morning.

Which ties in with the timing of these claims and contact with mendes first emerging, imo. Perhaps it started before now.
