.Brazilian Zé Roberto is probably the closest player in terms of being a physical beast to Ronaldo I can think of. He retired at 43. Probably could have kept on playing on if he wanted. There is a Brazilian center back called Hilton who retired on Ligue 1 playing for Montpellier also at 43 years old, and he didn’t show much of a physical decline. This is the reality now. I can easily see Ronaldo going beyond 40 honestly.
Disagree about the rags and Ronaldo.Kane pulled the plug on the Spurs deal. How extraordinarily convenient. Almost as if City let the Kane camp know that this is what was going down so he could resurrect his relationship with Spurs, and then the moment that happens, news of Ronaldo's interest in MCFC breaks. If so, how decent of MCFC.
I think City realised that Levy was not credible and reliable and triggered Plan B.
I think we should be cautious though because I think there is a very strong possibility, in fact probability, that Man Utd will react to this and make a counter offer. If Ronaldo was to sign for City it will be emotionally devastating for Man Utd, however one thing reassures me in this regard: if the Ronaldo camp wanted United, why didn't they instigate this through Man Utd? , Hello Alex, this is Cristiano, I'm yours. That hasn't happened, or we assume not.
I think this really is happening blues. I much prefer this scenario to Messi and MCFC because as a team City will be less effected by the lack of running power basic speed of a centre-forward. I don't think it damages City's game if our no. 9 is somewhat static and pedestrian. His touch and power will still be there. All we need is for him to get on the end of some of our crosses and pull-backs. If Ronaldo wants to come back to the Premier League and play for Manchester City how extraordinarily brave as a professional this is. If this goes down, he needs saluting for that. Into the lions den!
Oh and this would mark the end of the media hostility towards Manchester City. You now need us more than we need you. Dear old little City. I remember you. How you hurt us. Don't do so again!
Of course like any blue I also have that nagging feeling that it will all go wrong!
now there are many things to describe Kane but one of the fastest individuals on the pitch ???......erm no, so your argument is flawed in the first line ! In a team that plays the way City do that is not so important - look at how may goals last season were from breakaways ??.
Gus I love the romance but a Striker has to be one of the sharpest fastest individuals on the pitch. Reality is that after 30 everything goes South .
There's actually a shortening of both muscle and connective tissue. By 36 years your aerobic capacity has declined. Remember Zaba ? He came back lean and mean one season but his quickness was gone . It had fallen off a cliff.
In your 30s, your body's ability to take oxygen from your blood diminishes, your cholesterol counts and blood pressure go up and fatty deposits begin to build up on the walls of your arteries. Interval training and particular excerise can help greatly in all of it .
Also your body consumes 12 fewer calories per day for each year after 30 so eating less is key but it has to be monitored
Electrical forces bring all of your body's molecules together, but these begin to weaken in your 30s, so some of those influences on the molecules begin to malfunction. So your muscle mass drops greatly . Training , exercise etc does help greatly to maintain and even build muscle but it's still a downward slope.
However Ronaldo is the type of body fanatic that the slope is kept to a lessened gradient . So I'll go with the whole idea that he loves himself so much that he will do everything so precisely in order to maintain physique. He is a beast I agree but no man can stop ageing.
Everyday here is utter madness , everyday!Gonna be a mad day on here today.
Drugs..
