It could go any way mate. Anything can happen in these scenarios, even a player who says he wants to leave eventually staying & kissing the badge like Kane.

Whatever happens, we'll find out soon enough, but I think we all recognise we need a world class striker up front for this season. We seemingly put all our eggs in the Kane basket, but will we seriously embark on the long hard slog of a season with Torres, Jesus & Delap, or playing a false 9 again?

Two seasons ago I never thought we'd go through the season without replacing Vinny, but we did & look how that turned out..... :-|

Only de Bruyne and Rodri have won the ball in the final third more than CRonaldo in our squad since the start of the 2020-21 season.

He’s missed just 60 games through injury since 2009 (Kun missed 78 in the last four years; Kane missed 56 in the last four years).

His stats over the past few years are unreal considering his age. Nearly a goal a game for Juve. I know the PL will be that bit more competitive but has any other striker posted similar numbers in Serie A in recent times? If we sign him, he could end up smashing the record for most goals scored in a PL season assuming he plays enough games.
