Crystal Palace (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

while i dont disagree with you, Stones is never ever fit for more than a few games at a time....

And Lewis is a major weak point so he shouldnt be anywhere near the starting 11 ...so as poor as Gvardiol has been he is still a better option...rico lewis cannt defend and he is openly being targeted by opposition.....

Foden needs to play despite his poor form.......but Im not sure that is going to change as I thnk something else is going on there.....there were rumours before the start of the season that his persona life wasnt great and he had messed up shall we say
Foden is fucking ILL !!

I think Txiki is leaving at the right time
well that was just after the treble. he didnt and now him and his team being comfortable got us into his position. even the previous news that Berrada was helping him a lot with transfers and negotiations he left about a year ago and spent some time on gardening leave yet no one brought on to replace him either. thats kind of the mentality recently on the playing squad too. look at Alvarez gone, he would have had plenty of minutes and goals and assists but who is replacing his minutes and G+A from last year? Rico Lewis? fucking hell.

If only Rodri is missing, we have a decent chance against any team, even if we are not favourites. But if Stones, Ake, Akanji (3 from our main defenders in the Treble season), Foden, Kovacic, Bobb are also missing, plus Grealish and Doku not completely fit yet, then a point at Palace is more than decent.

You know when we resigned Gundi everyone thought it was a shrewd signing me included. I love the guy but he has been a weak imitation of himself when he was at his majestic peak.

In away we are lucky to have him. In a way it’s an indictment of our recruitment.

Not saying ya all his fault but, on current form, he is a big part of the problem. Think so many of our defensive issues are a trickle down ftom a weak midfield/missing Rodri.
I think sentiment got the better of far too many people in regards to Gundo coming back, even though they'd hate to admit it.

Watching it live I actually thought Rico did commit the foul, Silly to give the ref a decision to make when you lunge in like he had done on a yellow.

It was the wrong decision unfortunates, Just wish he'd stayed on his feet though.
Agree, I can see why the ref gave it.
After that VAR can't intervene on yellows so we have to accept it.
