Always trusted pep before, but today has me scratching my head. Rodri has been away on international duty so we can't have had much time to come up with a plan, unless they're all so familiar with the style of play that it shouldn't matter.

A bit uneasy at that lineup. Hopefully we start on fire and the ability of our players in possession means we score more than them.

I don't think it would be fair to throw Garcia in to this game.

Palace are the 4th best side in the league in 2019, and most of that is because of their home form. There's going to be a lot of defending set pieces and 1v1 stuff against Zaha.

Mendy is only just back from injury and still working his way back from 2 years out. Cancelo is making his second start, and Fernandinho is 4 games into a position switch.


That's not a back 4 you want to put a kid in on his debut.

No help from me, not sure it's time to experiment against a decent side away from home, and a team that if they beat us could go above us, the caraboa cup is the time for these experiments not today

Cancelo Fern Mendy as a back 3?

I’m going to try & enjoy the ride.

Think its gonna be a conventional back 4 but with fern and rodri cancelo and mendy would be the wingbacks in a back 3 formation not the cbs

In a strange way this could be a good thing as you can imagine Palace having a look at that back 4 and thinking they will have a go at us, hopefully we then pick them off on the break.

I actually prefer Rodri or Fern at centre back than Otamendi.

Fernandinho and Rodri sounds mad but when the alternative is Stones and Otamendi it actually sounds alright.
