I know it’s not gospel, but sky has us lined up with Cancelo Fern Mendy as a back 3.

Because sky get confused easily, they couldn't handle it the day he played Fernie at RB they had us down for three at the back that day also.

This is one of those lineups that pep does every now and again where you wonder if he’s lost the plot before we tend to get away with it and never do it again because Peps seen whatever madcap idea he’s had hasn’t quite worked. I hope the outcome is the same here as No cb against a very decent counter attacking unit is insane and if it goes wrong it could go very badly wrong.

There’s also the fact our two holding midfielders won’t be in midfield to protect our makeshift backline. Garcia must be wondering what he’s got to do to get a game, surely him alongside Fernandinho with Rodri infront is better than two holding midfielders at the back with an attacking midfielder holding.
