Bit confused by the calls for Steffen, when has a goalkeeper ever needed resting?

Guessing we'll see a very different team to the one from last night but I would say not quite as different as some are expecting. For example I think Pep's aversion to playing two left-footed CBs will mean Aké misses out.

When we've mathematically won the league I'd happily start Steffen but to do it before is a bit weird IMO.

Mahrez appears to disagree. He was more energetic than Bernie against PSG. I never thought I would be writing that.

id imagine if you compared distance covered you’d be surprised how much Bernardo runs.

I'd take the draw now if it meant we could rest the bulk of the team for Tuesday night.
United still got a couple of tricky games coming up where they could hopefully drop some points.

exactly and we really should. The league is absolutely done. We should totally prioritise Tuesday. Plus people are forgetting on paper our second string is better than Palaces first and actually has more to play for.. pop up with a MOM performance and a few goals and you’re in contention for the Tuesday. Literally no brainier for me. Rest as many as possible.

*edit further to this it’s an opportunity to try and play other players into form or match sharpness as you never know when you may need them.. imagine how much better Pep would feel on Tuesday knowing he had a Sterling, Torres or even an Aguero sat the bench who scored a brace at the weekend.

I think this is solid and rests key players (Foden, Dias, Walker, Bernardo, Gundo, Mahrez), but still gives us enough creativity to supply the speed we have up top. KDB can essentially play a free role with Rodders and Fern both covering.

Then make subs where required I.e KDB when the game is won.

I agree with everything except I'd swap KDB for Bernardo and only bring on KDB if the game is in the balance with 20 mins to go.
