A total lack of playmaker keeping the tempo up and the ball moving through the middle did for us i'd say. Can't understand why the Prince, or Foden didn't start when we had 3 centre halfs on?
Clearly Walker had a poor game although in the first half he played a number of great balls over to the left wing one of which led to our first goal. For their first goal there were a couple of poor attempts to clear the ball before it eventually came anywhere near the Palace player that Walker was marking. The second goal was a comedy of errors before the great strike.
What gave me a headache was the continual shouting out against Walker who was getting blamed for absolutely everything that happened well before half time from some around me. Rather than getting new players I would happily make a small contribution to the club for them to buy some new "fans".

This kind of defeat has been on the cards for the last 3 or 4 games, with City not creating many chances, whist gifting the opposition space and time on the ball.
Last season we were focused for every game, but now we're more obsessed with Liverpool and their supposed implosion, which frankly doesn't look likely.
We need to get back to basics, rotate less, and start dominating games on the front foot.
19 chances normally gets us 4.8 goals. (1 goal per 5 chances). That would have got us a win. This kind of defeat has been on the cards for the last 3 or 4 games, with City not creating many chances, whist gifting the opposition space and time on the ball.

Called it before the match. If there was ever a game Foden should have played it was this one. Gundogan should have played where Stones was playing and Foden should have played where Gundogan was playing. That's not hindsight; that's Pep not trusting Foden.A total lack of playmaker keeping the tempo up and the ball moving through the middle did for us i'd say.
