Palace will be happy for a point from this game so the question is whether 90% possession leads to us scoring a goal more than we give away on their isolated attacks.

Could've done with them winning yesterday so that they'd be safe, but hopefully we should have too much for them at home.

Not sure if Agueto or Silva will be fit though, which is a blow. If not, I'd go for this:

Caballero
Zabaleta
Kompany
Otamendi
Kolarov
Fernandinho
Toure
De Bruyne
Sterling
Sane
Jesus

I look at those players and I think HTF have we not won more points!

I see that the %age of posters thinking we'll win has shrunk by about 20% compared to the Boro game!

I think I am at the point now where I have no interest in where we finish and I certainly have no idea what a result from game to game will be.

I would rather see Zabaleta in the team now to recognise his contribution to the side over the years before he goes.

Going to be very tough. They have pace and will be very dangerous on the counter attack, same as the Leicester game the following week. Pep needs to get the set up right here. Hopefully with Jesus back we will take more of our chances. I predict goals.

I know it's too late to experiment but if Navas can play rb/wb (debatable), why can't Delph play lb/wb?
Not a wide player.
Not much of a defender.
To injury prone to match a fullback's running and sprinting requirements.

I can see us getting our arses handed to us in this game, they have found a way to play against the top 6 clubs which seems to serve them well.

Please please let this be wrong but I foresee another masterclass in sideways / backwards passing and the Palace players having enough time to eat a couple of sandwiches as we try to do something positive with 97% possession. Not much faith left in the team nor Pep to produce anything from now until the end of the season (which can't come quickly enough). Roll on next season.

A clean sheet is unlikely for us. 1-1 or 2-1. Hopefully their usual defenders are still injured.

I really have lost all faith after the Boro game. We just seem to plod about and only get in gear,
if the other side scores. Really don't know what to expect, but am hoping for something better
to watch.

Surely you're exited to see Jesus? You should be. Along with Sane. We could have a front 3 of Sterling, Sane and Jesus. That for me is very exciting

I think we dipped after two very tough games. Natural. We could do with KDB finding some form and someone from midfield getting into the box.

Depends on the formation pep picks, same nonsense one as first half it will be a loss, they have pace but no doubt we'll be too high to contain it,just want to have one convincing game and not chasing or hanging on at the end

Sterling, Sane and Jesus - no more exciting and less goals than Aguero and Jesus.

The dip is not just recent. 48 points from 28 games after getting 18 from the first 6 games is incredibly disappointing. It would have been better had we started quietly and now been on a good run.

I get excited by watching decent football, which i'm not seeing at the moment. The same has happened for the last 2 seasons.
Why ? i don't know. It's so bloody lethargic. After 2 tough games, you say. They're all tough, it's the Premier League. Even if certain
teams are not "that good" then can still work hard enough to make it difficult. We don't work hard enough and expect everything
to drop into our lap, at the moment.

Wouldn't have Clichy in the starting XI. Kolarov at LB please next to Ota, Kompany and Sagna/Zaba. Hopefully Silva will be back. De Bruyne can go to the bench for me. Start Sterling and Sane and Yaya. Start with Kun and bring Jesus on after 60-65.
