I don't think it matters what line-up we have. It's like
rearranging the deckchars on the Titanic.
let's face it, the squad needs a radical overhaul and we aren't going to get anywhere with this bunch.
They've lost their mojo and we're paying the price for not replacing fading players with class ones, like we used to.
Rodri's return isn't going to solve anything.
Every fan points to the mistakes in recruitment the club committed. Using the same mentality, it is now the best time to place Rodri with a couple of class midfielders. He is 28 now. Just had a major injury and will take a year to get to top match fit level again and will start the decline when he is 30. No class players would come to a second tier team in the league just to warm the bench so Rodri must be in the bench and accept lower salary or he should be sold.

Absolute bullshit! Defensive midfielders do to start to decline at 29. Gareth Barry and Fernandinho didn't join City until they were 28, and served for 5 and 9 years respectively.

Ederson
Khusanov
Dias
Gvardiol
O’Reilly
Nico
Kovacic
Grealish
Savinho
Doku
Marmoush
Probably our best team with what’s available. Definitely looks younger too. Looking forward to Bobb and revitalized Foden to add some creativity at some point.

Looking forward to seeing and singing Ole Ole Oscar Bobb Bobb Bobb again. The crowd has been flat all season but we woke up when Oscar Bobb came on. I think he'll get 20-30 mins this time. He's got goals or chances in him but it is going to take a number of games before he's twinkling again. I do hope Pep plans to give him as much time as possible so that he builds up his match fitness.

I have been looking to see photos of Oscar in training this week, but l have not seen any yet. Hopefully, he can as you say get 20 to 30 mins under his belt, but it will be next season before we see the best of him.

Palace will no doubt provide a stern test and if we are to win we will need a big improvement on last Sunday's performance without a doubt. Hopefully Guehi will be a big miss and whilst Palace's recent form is very good in their last away game in the League they were only able to get a point at Southampton.

I'd like to see something like this tomorrow:

Ederson

Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O'Reilly

Nico
Bernardo
Grealish

Doku
Savinho
Marmoush

Unless City have already made their mind up on Grealish, he should be given a run of games in the middle until the end of the season.

Doku and Savinho are both frustrating in their end product for different reasons. But they're both very young, need regular game time and to develop an understanding with their teammates.

That looks like the best lineup at the moment but I worry about where the goals and assists are coming from. Apart from Marmoush there’s not a lot of creativity or firepower there.

He needs to get on the bench first, far too much expectation of this lad after such a serious injury.

Savinho when he gets going will bag like Mahrez did going forward imo mate. I’d love to pick Foden but he needs a whole summer break imo to get his confidence and head sorted.

I think Pep's press conference is scheduled for 1.30pm

And there was no news. Simon Stone suggesting City's squad should have done better than they have to which Pep responded by referring to the injured defenders.

if no injuries during the week, two of below names need to sit in the stands not even on the bench:

Gvardiol, Dias, Lewis, Nunes, Oreilly, Reis, Khusanov, Nico, Gundo, KDB, Bernardo, Kova, Foden, Marmoush, Savinho, Doku, Grealish, McAtee, Bobb

Reis and McAtee maybe?
