Pretty much every podcast and fan channel I have watched has Palace winning.

That Southampton game has clouded a lot of judgement in my opinion.
Has it?

Football is a game of momentum and moments. We've neither ATM.

Actually if there's one thing I wouldn't hold against him it's last year's final. That team was dead on its feet. They dragged themselves through the semi-final, somehow won it, but you could see it there. The final was a step too far.
I believe that the really poor part of this season, those two or three months before Christmas, were part of the reaction to eight years of solid effort in three or four competitions season after season.
Pep is easily the greatest manager we've ever had, or will ever have. He does get things wrong. It's rare, but it happens. It is the right of every person on this forum to express an opinion about that. And it is the right of every other person to dissent from that opinion. Otherwise Ric might as well close down the forum.

Poor wording by me there. I wasn't blaming Pep for the shit show last year. Any negative results against the rags gets that tag. As you say, we were fucked from the effort of the previous seasons. It was all about 4 in a row last year, anything else was a bonus and sadly we were only a little bit of energy away from potentially doing the treble again when you look back at where we missed out!

Moments maybe not, but technically on paper we have momentum.

In our last 10 games we have won 7 and drew 3.

Our league form is only bettered by 1 point by Villa since the international break.

Palace on the other hand have only picked up 2 more points than Forest, who have 2 wins in 7 league games since the last international break.

Good point but, I think Villa was a very lucky 3 points and I'm still baffled how we beat wolves.

Us fans are weirdly relaxed about this game. I think it's because of the 4 successes in the play off finals which are far bigger games from the point of view of destiny, than a trophy game. So it's a day to enjoy and hopefully get something historical alongside the almost laughable Zenith Data Systems cup... 45,000 quid they are spending on tifo... so look out for that. Admittedly it is the key to Europe, but with a thin squad is that a case of careful what you wish for.

No, why would it be?

Or do you think Phil (or any dynamic forward player for that matter) wouldn't be better suited to a dynamic, flowing side like Liverpool or Arsenal rather than the shove-10-in-the-box-and-hope-for-the-best current version of City?

Or perhaps you are happy with our forwards being smothered out of the game with the current tactics?

Maybe you just think Phil is shit?
The current tactics, as Pep has explained ad infinitum, are due to injuries and age.

The club should have bought in the Summer, but Pep took a side that was in disarray and has arrested that decline and got them to an FA Cup Final and to the brink of CL qualification.

Nope, I think his form the last few years has been great. This season is a blip. I dont think he would be better playing for another team like you do weirdly.

But I do think you're a wind up merchant.

Stop using facts to a WUM, there's no point.

Our form doesn't mean we'll win of course !

I see the sold out signs have gone up...

Funny as I keep.reading Palace fans saying 'why don't they give us some of City's tickets' and 'City won't sell out' etc etc, as though they are some super fan base.

Then I watch a clip BBC of us beating them at Palace in the cup a few years ago and place was half empty. Short memories some people

And I think you are being deliberately disingenuous.

Rather than confront the error of your previous aggression, you double down on it.

*Slow hand clap*.

Prove me wrong. Answer my question.

We’re 10 games unbeaten
Yes we are. It's a fair point.

Are finals won by sharp knifes or stout shields? We shall find out.

Pep has that ju-ju about him though. He can win doing shit nobody else would do so it's obviously impossible to be sure what's going to happen.
