Crystal Palace PL (H) Post match thread

If you don't understand the concept of a post-match thread then it might be your head that needs a wobble.
It's not about the treble last season, the domestic treble in 2019 or 100 points in 2018. - We threw away two points today, and the match was played today.
I’m one of the biggest moaners on here. Pep is untouchable. I’m 44 years old, in the years I have left (plenty hopefully) I don’t expect any manager to come anywhere near what Pep has given me/us. He makes mistakes, but this world we live in where someone gets judged week to week, no matter what they’ve done for the past 5+ years is ludicrous.

Ok, we certainly are not a patch on last season , that's not hard to see on performances and results. Getting rid of very good players hasn't helped either plus injuries to key players. Can't even blame rodris absence today. However, let's never get like them over the road, we are this and that, getting above your station. Plenty of us believe me have seen really bad days, the up and coming haven't. And today isn't a really bad day!
We havent played the winning back line from last season once. And we’ve had opportunity.

Sucker punched with a decision a ref made, Palace would not have scored from open play again and needed the penalty. Bernie was fouled, first claim was not a pen the second was very harsh on Phil as he was blindsided.... Its happened to other teams and they were given, that prick had a chance to call it in which he didnt hesitate.

Its not over

I'm sorry- but that's a shameful interview from Pep...

He says the "red card from Rodri can happen, but the penalty can't"

...Is he fucking serious? Talk about throwing a player under the bus...
I womdered about that too.

You can see he is not thinking straight. He looks like a ticking bomb. There will be a strange atmosphere on the plane tonight.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola speaking to Match of the Day: "We gave away two points. We had a good performance. We controlled the transitions really well and made a lot of set pieces but Crystal Palace’s second goal cannot happen at this level. We took bad decisions in the 18-yard box and we were punished."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "We give away two points for our mistake and what can I say? We do everything and a team that defends in the box like so, so deep. They arrive and we are punished but we have to be more calm and composed in that position. It is not the first time but it is what it is. Move forward, learn and [go to the] next one.
"It is so difficult, the physicality of them. But yeah the penalty cannot happen. It's happened so at the end in that level they punish you."

Yeah that's a wee bitty crazier now, getting a bit warmer.

But still not Crazy Pep, want to see full on nutter mode!

Think people are right to be annoyed at Pep not making the Stones change earlier, but I swear to god he's the only person in world football who *really* wants to win that world club. Win that and as far as he is concerned he's won everything with us. Legit thinks he wasn't risking players for Tuesday.

Was Bernado not fouled in the run up to the penalty? Looked like he was pulled back from where I was sat.

We are soft as shit in the final stages of the game. Clear to see this season.

Mentality questionable.

Tiredness and fatigue? Should subs be coming in 20/15 mins from time? Maybe. But we don't have enough quality on the bench.

Feels we've fallen a long way from last season.
