We are a big club. We hired Hughes. We only had the luxury of what we have since his departure due to plan that was in place when the takeover happened.

Big clubs employ Ancelotti and to a lesser extent, Benitez.

Ok, and the plan is.....?

Results have been poor and they've not been playing very well either, and that is always going to come back to the manager. But he's not been backed to get in the players needed and I can't think of a better option to keep them up.

Benitez, they'll go down.
Allardyce, out of touch
Kompany, Carrick, wouldn't go to palace

They'll end up with someone like Nigel Pearson. Huge gamble.

True, although I can’t vouch for the 30’s, I vaguely remember the likes of Alan Ball, Howard Kendall and the like playing for Everton in the 60’s. I know they had a good side and won the league in the late 60’s.

If you put the conspiracy theory aside that someone wants to do Arsenal a favour, Parish knows feck all about running a football club. Fair enough, sack Pat if they want to, but on a Friday before a game against the league leaders?
No new man in place, no 'bounce' and that lot will be arguing on the pitch without a leader.
Sack him last Sunday or this Monday, but not today! Clueless - but that's been obvious for some years. Parish is the one consistent through the last many years of under achievement. Maybe Saha is in charge.

Terrible decision by Parish and I hope they go down. 11 games left and 8 of them are against the 8 teams below them which more than suggests they’ve had a bit of a shit run of fixtures.
