Crystal Palace Thread - 2022/23

Seems a strange decision to me. I know they haven't won this year but have drawn at home to Brighton, Newcastle & utd. 11 games to go, Arsenal on Sunday which I didn't expect them to get anything from. I wonder if losing to Brighton & the 2 week International break has influenced the decision

Not really, they've not won in 2023 and only scored 4 goals. Went 3 games without a shot on target.

3 points off the drop zone and in the worst form in the league.
It's like when a team get relegated and the fans/pundits say, "Why didn't the club do something about it earlier??"

I think they've crunched the numbers, looked at their run in for the rest of the season and come to the conclusion that they are heading for relegation.

Ok, and the plan is.....?

Results have been poor and they've not been playing very well either, and that is always going to come back to the manager. But he's not been backed to get in the players needed and I can't think of a better option to keep them up.

Benitez, they'll go down.
Allardyce, out of touch
Kompany, Carrick, wouldn't go to palace

They'll end up with someone like Nigel Pearson. Huge gamble.

One last dance with old twinkle toes Pardew?
