Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)
That's being shared by Lokomotiv and Spartak at the moment and is as f**ked as Khimki. CSKA and Dinamo are playing at Khimki while they build grounds at their respective traditional homes because geographically Khimki is in the same direction out of the city centre as where they play, just a fair bit further out (it's actually beyond the city boundary and further out than the last metro stop on that line). But I presume they'd rather play there if it's possible, although I'm sure if Lokomotiv's stadium were fit now it would be used for the Pilzen game.

So there's only one top-flight stadium open in the city right now, plus a couple of smaller sub-20K venues that would ordinarily used by clubs outside the RFPL. That means clubs sharing, and with record-breaking rainfall in recent weeks, the surfaces simply can't cope. I'm sure City, UEFA, CSKA themselves and fans of all clubs in this CL group are incredibly frustrated, and I do sympathise, but unless the weather continues to be really poor in the next 3 weeks, I suspect we should be OK, unlike Pilzen next week.
Not much consolation to our fans who've shelled out a lot of money for tickets if it does have to be moved, I know.
Is there a reason why the Lokomotiv stadium is not being considered as an alternate?
