CSKA Post Match Thread

Players blamed Mancini when it went tits up. It's only a matter of time before they do the same with Pellegrini.

Fuck off with all the bitching about the ref. We were shite, just accept it.

I could accept that statement if what we'd just seen was a one off, but not when it's every time we play. Good or shit, you can't possibly win when every referee allocated to you gives every conceivable decision to the opposition. It's impossible. I wouldn't even bother with the last two fixtures. We could play like Greek gods and still get nothing.

Did the Greek gods play football?

Total shambles.

First half was really poor play.
Lack of confidence at the back continued - funnily enough so did the tactics and so did the pattern we see every game - first half they picked us off down the centre time and again.
In possession taking too many touches and not finding space - if you are playing an attacking formation it should be relatively easy to pass it in their half - not so, it seems.

Second half just an absolute disgrace - we lost our heads completely and couldn't have complained if we'd been down to eight.

That we didn't start playing until we went down to nine is really poor stuff.

Individually;

Toure - pretty much out of his mind, shocking lack of professionalism.
Aguero has gotten way too selfish.
Jovetic, although blessed with excellent all-round attacking skills, looks well out of his depth.
Clichy was this bad frequently at Arsenal.
Milner gets a good mark as does Zabaleta (although teams have figured out the timing of his runs).
Kompany and Demichelis were not great I have some sympathy because the tactics mean they are frequently under a lot of pressure.

Another game, another unacceptable performance in the CL. Utterly shambolic. No passion or desire to win a game against by far the weakest side in our group. Look lacklustre going forward without Silva, pathetic when defending. No reaction to going behind again and losing the discipline at the end is silly. No excuses for not putting in a performance tonight.

The ref being as bad as he was is probably going to ensure the players get an easier ride than they should do. One of the worst refereeing performances i've ever seen by far but shouldn't take away from how diabolical our 'performance' was.

It is all the ref's fault or Platini or the premier league, anyone who says differently is a Rag, the agenda pure and simple

Honestly time to blow this squad up and rebuild. We seem to be firmly on the decline with the current group.

It doesn't need blowing up, but I think some are finding it much easier to blame the manager when this is the clear problem. Pellegrini hasn't caused them to forget how to play basic passes.

The refereeing that we get is unbelievable but it does not excuse that performance. This is a seriuos mentatlity problem when you produce a display of such stupidity after the performance a week ago.

No doubt the manager will get lots of stick but I think this is a player problem and I would start planning for a clearout.
