Cure for cancer

The problem with trying to find a "cure for cancer" is that there is so many variations. It's like having a shave with a blunt razor, you will never catch them all in one go. You need to concentrate on each and keep at the stubborn fuckers. So long as all cancers are treated as one there will not be a cure, if they are treated individually then it'd be a start. As someone above said, our best shot currently is to try and destroy it with radiation. This is not a cure, it is a treatment.

Having said that, I've heard of some impressive research over the past few years which will help our kids ensure in coming years it is much less of a risk. Still no cure on the horizon, but management will be better.

I'm not sure there is a cure to look for.

My father died of cancer. He was riddled with it, and it was awful to see him getting thinner and weaker by the day, or so it seemed.

He was 84, he wasn't in pain and I believed he wasn't, but if they do find a cure for cancer, something else will become the number one illness.

My mother died from dementia, and that is equally awful. To see a strong woman succumb to confusion and disability is difficult to take on its own, but when you realise that little is known about the illness, there are no drugs available to halt, or prevent the condition, and you just have to sit there and watch the decline in front of your eyes is difficult to take.

I hope a cure for cancer is found, it can strike anyone at any time, but I also hope a cure can be found for dementia as well.

We need a reducer for our species, cancer is likely it. It sucks, but we can't all live full and happy lives.

And I can tell from your post that no Doctor has ever sat you down, looked you in the eye and said:
'I'm very sorry to tell you that the biopsy has shown the tumour is cancerous'.

Because if you had -I can assure you that would never write such a post.

Mate, I've lost family and friends to cancer. It's a nasty, painful and miserable experience. My grandma lost her leg to it. But I understand that it's a natural thing. A lot of cancers aren't preventable and aren't down to lifestyle. Some people just get sick and they die. The human body is a system and all systems are subject to fault. Callous as that sounds, we can't shy from the fact of cancer's influence in human life and death.

OK - try telling that to your wife and kids when you get back from the hospital with your results...

I hope I never have to do that, I hope that nobody does. And I'm not trying to argue that cancer is a positive thing. But it is a lamentable fact of life.

if every country with nuclear power spend the money on a cure instead of missiles it would be defeated very quickly.

This^^^^^^^ The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have so far cost the UK Taxpayer in excess of £20 billion (without soldiers wages and treatment of injury costs) yet in 2010 only £504 million was raised by Cancer research uk

In these Austerity times the uk launched £130million of missiles at Libya in ONE morning

A truly stunning display of ignorance!

so show me the points of ignorance and i'll point you towards the reports that confirm.......

A cure will never be told to the public, ever. There is so much money in cancer its not even funny. The amount of donations, sponsors, medication from the blasts of radiotherapy and crap, it's a huge cash cow, in the trillions.

People that have tried to say they found a cure for cancer have ended up in jail. Run from the cure is a good video on YouTube, and some of the reading on some vitamin b17 or something.

Yes B17, it is found in bitter apricot seeds, a vet in somewhere like Mexico used it on dogs with terminal cancer and it got rid of it so he gave it to a doctor who tried it on terminally ill patients and cured them then the powers that be decided to ban B17 surprise surprise. Also check out cannabis oil you may find it interesting.
