Does anyone remember Bulldog and Alfie Stewart who used to knock around with them? And what happened to them... not seen them for years.
Alfie stewart lives in ilfracombe, not seen bulldog since ipswich away late 80,s/early 90s,hammer was part of that crowd as well saw him in asda sportcity other day, still goes lives up hyde way now

Me and Alfie were mates from about the age of 12! Not seen him since I was 17... another lifetime ago! I knew Bulldog as I lived in Hulme as well at the time. Best memory of him was leading the pitch invasion at Bury in a League Cup tie when we were 2-0 down and he was trying to get the game abandoned... ended up the only one arrested I think!

Does anybody remember Andy May used to be one the lads before he became a professional at City!

I could tell you some stories from the 70's and 80's in Hulme involving all of these... best not!

Alfie got a few years on me mate always remember him from the clarence and for his famous "shit on united" indian ink tattoo on his hand,at the end of the day you,ve got to be able to do a bit if you,re permanently wearing that.Looked him up when down there with the missus and found him in pub called the stage door, seemed to be well known in the area,(surprise)he didn,t recognise me though not a major surprise as i,d not seen him for about 12 years,he was a good pal of steve jones from wythenshawe

Used to go quite regularly with Andy Mays brother in the 80's. Got a few complimentary s for away games.
Back to Donald, i reckon he owes me about £12.80 in ten pence pieces and 3 cans of tennants 'lent' to him quite often on the midnight train to Euston.

Blackburn away, when we were promoted. Watching game in boozer near ewood , city scored, the place erupted for 5 minutes. Looked up, the fcuking t.v was gone! looked behind, donald had mysteriously disappeared also. A boozer full of city now with no T.V, march down to the ground, steam the gates just intime for the pitch invasion = HAPPY DAYS

I know Steven May very well. Used to see him a lot at the games up until about 12 months ago, not seen him recently.

I was at the Oasis gig at Lancashire Cricket Ground and we were both in the Trafford beforehand and both wearing City badges... commenting that the days of us drinking in this pub before a City game was extremely unlikely! Top lad.

Ah, I miss the hungry years...!!!

Knew Donald well from years ago, both from Middleton, lot's of stories but the one that sticks in my mind the most.

We were in Malmo for the Euros 92, it was the day we'd played France, anyway we were stood in this square where they'ed put up beer tents for the fans, and up walks Donald, a little holdall over his shoulder, after giving him loads about how he'd blagged his way to Sweden on National Express, he opened his bag, and for the duration of the tournament all he had was his St Georges flag emblazooned with MCFC Guvnors, a bottle of cider, and a cut throat razor, no clothes, nowt, he was on the banned list, so he'd changed his name to Mark Tyson by depoll, new passport no problems. He was trying to get a firm together to go after the local Turks.

After the match we were walking back to the centre through a park, and about 50 yards in front, we seen this vicar/priest getting launched into the lake, Donald threw him in, even the god squad werent safe from him, funny as fuck.

He went through a stage of having the financial times or the times always hanging out of his arse pocket for all to see in mid 80s

Full Members Cup Final.
A few of us from Langley were in the ground and Donald who knew us shouted us over.
He was stood outside on the other side of a gate.
Of course he was trying to tap us up for money to get in.
Just then a dodgy firm of lads walk around the corner chanting City.
Turns out to be a bunch of cockney's wearing City scarves they had just nicked from a vendor.
They then proceed to slap Donald and his crew of kids around.
It was a bit out of order but gives me a bit of a chuckle.

Another time he "hitched" to Barcelona with Untied but was turned away at customs for not having a penny to his name.

He also used to swan about Langley wearing a maroon Adidas padded jacket which he swore blind he had personally robbed off Ray Wilkins' back.

One time when a bit of hassle was going on in Middleton Centre with lads visiting from other parts of Manchester he steamed out of Tommy's chippy with a butter knife to "sort things out"

I remember one time on the trian back from Wolves the bill warned us about yam yams bricking us. Of course true to form Donald stuck his face right up to the window telling them all to "fuck off", of course a brick hit his window smashing it and he spent the rest of the journey lay with a towel over his face telling the coppers he was blind.

The Langley and Middleton lot used to travel on Yelloways to away matches in the early 80's and Donald was frequently a "special guest star".
He certainly always made the longer trips more entertaining.
