Just a further note on Art Dzeko if anyone is interested.

They forecast a shit load of rain over Catterick. It might even turn the going heavy.

I don't know how he will respond to very soft ground, he likes cut, but considering he is stepping up in trip, id be nervous if it was too soft, purely because we don't know the limits of his stamina. That sort of ground is like an extra furlong.

If anyone is betting, use the above as you please...

Yes or no is it worth putting money on?

By what was said about the horse before to me it seems the horse will end up moving up in distances I think Mark has said they are thinking about sending it over the hurdles in the future so I would guess if they are thinking about this then the horse may well have some staying power in it.

Read both my notes, look at the race like any other, and make your own decision, your a big boy.

In brief, I think he'll win it, Timeform think he will, sporting life think so too. There is also plenty of questions without answers due to him having barely ran. That's not me covering my tracks, its just the way this perticular race is. On ability alone, he wins, it's a weak race.

Currently odds on with the early exchanges, but it really is a truly awful handicap, even for a grade six.
An easier opportunity would be hard to find, bar a walkover.

The last major jumps festival starts tomorrow in Punchestown with both Sir Des Champs and Sizing Europe in action both should win hands down. Some top class racing and money on offer that i am surprised there hasnt been more UK horses sent over for it.

Got a tip for tomorrow in the bumper called Catamongdepidgeons in the 6.05. Heard some great reports at the weekend about it and they feel they have every chance. Also with the amount of rain we had today and whats forecasted for tomorrow by the time they go off it will be more than likely soft to heavy ground.

Would normally be all over the Punchestown festival but with the ground going to be heavy i might give it a miss. Trying to pick a winner in 20 runner races is hard enough without the extra bit of heavy ground which over half the field wont go on. Sizing Europe will hack up as will Sir De Champs so might just have a big double on those.
Prices are shocking, worse than Aintree

Agree with this.

My only concern is stamina. I'd like to think he had enough raw ability to overcome even that. I can't even say i'd be happier with no more rain, because for all we know he might want it boggy as hell.

Still fact finding missions at this stage.
