And that darlan/long run double, should have been on that.
He's been on long run for a while too.
I had my doubts about him as i have mentioned to you in the pastnijinsky's fetlocks said:The cookie monster said:I think fetlocks will be coming home with 2 wheelbarrows full of fifties from kempton today.pieface said:yeah i know mate, you are sharp at seeing a bet, well done.

Not sure my heart can stand much more of this - that's far and away the best ride Sam Waley-Cohen has given Long Run,as he was on and off the bridle, hated the going, ran in snatches and hardly jumped a fence.
How he galvanised one last effort out of the horse after he destroyed the last I'll never know.
What a great day, despite weather you wouldn't turn the dog out in.
Kauto Star looked like he was ready to go round with 'em in the pre-race parade, and every race showed both horses and jockeys at the peak of their skill and bravery.
It was a privilege to be there.
If anybody knows of a spare liver for sale anywhere, please pm me.

Game as a pebble mate - a pleasure to watch a horse give everything and more like that in dreadful conditions.
Can't wait for the festival now - Long Run is a best-priced 8's for the Gold Cup,although Silvianico Conti and Bob's Worth will give him some serious opposition.
Darlan is now into 4's for the Champion Hurdle, and if he finds any improvement on yesterday it's hard to see Hurricane Fly and the rest seeing which way he goes.
Bring it on!

I dont see Darlan winning the CH. That was an oddly run race, very slow and then pretty much a sprint at the end. For me its between Rock on ruby - if the ground is good or better ill be backing the gelding. I also like the look of grandouet (spelling)
The race of the week looks like the supreme novices hurdle! my tent or yours (my fancy) Jezki Puffin Billy Dodging Bullets
Course mate. Sounds good to me. Can not wait till Cheltenham going to be some races and a half.nijinsky's fetlocks said:welcometomanchester said:nijinsky's fetlocks said:Game as a pebble mate - a pleasure to watch a horse give everything and more like that in dreadful conditions.

I appreciate that the festival going will (hopefully) be firmer than Boxing Day's quagmire, but you couldn't fail to be impressed with the way Darlan quickened up and put the race to bed between the second last and the last - if he can do that on his comeback when Henderson reckoned he'd need the race on ground like glue, then who knows what he'll find when properly tuned up on good going and a decent pace?
He also hurdled a shade to the right on occasion,so a left handed track may be in his favour too.
You can have Rock On Ruby and Grandouet to my Darlan for a £20 charity bet if you fancy it mate.
