Ran the other day mate but you never know i guess, cheers for the heads up though.

Yeah think it ran wknd lost all chance at the stalls so won't have been given a hard time just gonna put it in a lucky 15

Ran over 7F at Ascot on Saturday, gets an extra furlong tomorrow. It was well backed last week going off at 7/1. Might have a nibble on it.

Racing Post comments are:

Horsted Keynes, runner-up to Louis The Pious at the Royal meeting, was a disappointment, never promising to get to the leaders.
Well in rear, ridden 3f out, kept on from over 1f out, no chance

So bit of education here for me - are you saying that he was just given an easy run out at weekend nothing strenuous but tomorrow he's going for it?

I'm absolutely all over Magic City tomorrow.

Everything set up in his favour and I've long felt they were trying to drop him a few pounds in the handicap.

It's a risk that in basically talking shit and the horse just isn't good enough, but it's a niggling feeling I can't get over.

Hughes has pretty much said this is his seasonal target in the RP today.

Then again, if Ryan Moore was on board I'd have a house on it, Hughes can still fuck it up.

as you know Mark i have been following this horse, posted in the Tipser thread if you didn't tip/nap the horse
then i will call stewards inquiry.

Big hopes as it's been backed from 33s to 9s during this week.

Haha, I haven't looked at the tipser thread yet. Like I said I could be talking rubbish and wouldn't mind a 2nd opinion based on the horses last 4 runs.

I just don't think they've pushed the button to give him his best chance today.

Whether it's enough, no idea but at a nice price I'm on him.

It was a £93,000 race last week, so I doubt taking it easy would have been the intention. However if it missed the break (which by all accounts it did) then it wouldn't have been given a hard race.

Just watched a replay of Saturdays race and the jockey didn't touch it.
The race before at Royal Ascot it came from a mile back to finish 2nd.

As I said lost all chance being very slow away so was given an easy time would have been aimed at this for a while but so will others! I'll scream if magic city wins have been following for a bit very frustrating horse to follow! Thats it just talked myself into the reverse forecast!

Ran really poorly on soft 7f against Russian Realm ( non runner tomorrow ) at GOODWOOD but then came out and ran into second over a mile on good to firm at Salisbury.
Racing post comments............

Awkwardly away, held up, steady headway from over 2f out, switched right over 1f out, soon chasing winner, kept on but always being held (op 9/2)

If Fetters ( and now mine the c***t ) fav Jockey can get a grip of him then could be at the business end.
