Malin Head....3:30 folkstone. 20/1 into 7/2 this morning.

ran three times in novice hurdles beat by a total of 312 lengths. been put in a hcp chase and knocked over today, i know it won a pt to pt but its recent form was diabolical.

you guessed it. WON! Wonder how they can explain this. Racing has never been dodgier.
For every one of them punts that go in there are 50 that dont.

Ive just finished a book by Nicholas Clee called. Eclipse.
shortlisted for the WH sports book of the year.

this horse Eclipse well his male line descendants include Desert Orchid and Arkle.
and all but three of the Derby winners in the last fifty years.
its a book full of eighteenth century roguery and gambling..
a lot of bloodstock and two smoking barrels.
and interesting stuff about how the Classics came about, tales from epsom and newmarket of CharlesII hackin around town on his horse Old Rowley.
any one interested in gambling, blood stock, horses and eighteenth century lowlife of the high rollers, its a good read.

i might put it up for a prize in a tipster comp.

been watching the super thursdays in Dubai, leading up to the world cup end of march.
today Mr obrien entered So you think for it.exciting..been following a horse called Master of Hounds, ran last week there stormed in for second at 16/1...
gonna back him to win the big one....

^^you run the 3 handicap runs/badly/wrong ground etc...gives you a featherweight, then you tune the horse up for a win, back big early doors and bingo...tomorrow at kempton 6.55 Dark ranger...booking of spencer is interesting, not ridden this horse before, fto this year 2nd at kempt lto...small yard.booking of a big jock/hello..?
i love watching jamie ride the long races tactically top of his game....see what the market says tomorrow as to a bet.

newbury 3.40 Nh flat race...nicholls got a runner in looks to be owned by the showjumping set lol....but Jonjo has a runner for Jp Wildwest...could this be his horse for the bumper at the festival?..

Spot on with your 1st sentence mate

MCFC OK

Backed 4 at Newbury tomorrow.
Carrigmorna King
Glens Boy
Kateal
Workbench

Not big prices but they look to have massive chances. Workbench would be the doubt as i know nothing about this horse apart from going off breeding. The fact its with Nicholls tells me he could be half decent.

-- Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:53 pm --

Might have a double on Grumeti and Cedre Blue too. Grumeti is well fancied for the triumph and will have to take this if hes to have a chance at Cheltenham. Cedre Blue ran behind Spirit Son over hurdles and will make an even better chaser. He did get beat convincingly but i dont think he was 100% that day as we didnt see him again.
