Daily Horse Racing \ Tipping thread

The only winner I have had is somersby with a fiver saver on it, it just got beat in therace last year to a far superior horse in master minded.

Tough race that though, wide open any of 6 have very strong claims and that dosnt include the outsiders that pop up.
 
Wasnt able to get on to post tips today and had 10 winners in total so a bit gutted. Looks like the bad patch has been and gone for 1 day and im back on the winners. Best one of the day was probably Hunt Ball who i backed at 11/2 only to win easy at 11/4. I wonder could somebody help with a query regarding racing weights?

I read the Sporting Life and Racing Post previews to help pick my horses each day. There is a regular discrepancy with the reporting of weights especially by Sporting Life.

An example for 16:55 Kempton Park

VHUJON is up 6lb for his recent C&D victory but remains on a winning mark.

Upon checking the weight Vhujon was carrying 8-11 when winning last outing and today his weight is recorded as 8-12 which is only 1ib increase.

Hope you are wrong about Focail Maith mate. I have £100 on Nibani.
 
Its not neccessarily about the weight they carry mate its their mark that changes. All horses that have run 3 times or more will have a rating which is given to them by the BHA.
Vhujon is stepping up from a class 6 to class 5 so thats why he is only carrying 1lb extra that last time because hes in a better race. If you go to attheraces and click on Vhujon you will see that his rating before his last win was 55 and now its 61, there is the 6lb increase.
So it is a 6lb rise for his mark, not his racing weight.
