Daily Mail, your media etc

Listen to Talkshite in the morning 5-8 to catch up with the football news, then a quick look at bluemoon,
Driving to work its radio 4 (I have a crap radio in my car & its about all I can find),
Get to work its Radio 2 (once zoe ball has pissed off) & POP MASTER!
Get home its TV usually some obscure channel where there doing up cars, selling stuff in auctions or routing round in sheds,
Evening its Bluemoon & more obscure TV (usually bangers & cash or salvage hunters)
Bed time its Talkshite again or a book,
Not purchased any type of newspaper for around 10 years,
I know my life is very very dull.
(if I have a day off work its bluemoon most of the day)

Which MSNBC shows?

I prefer the later shows (6 - 11 pm ET). Earlier stuff is a bit hit and miss, usually a mix of regurgitated crap and undeveloped breaking news stories.
Morning Joe. Scarborough can be a bit sanctimonious but i enjoy his rants and deadline Whitehouse are the ones i try to catch on a regular basis.

With regard to the purchasing of newspapers, I'd like to share this little anecdote:

When I first became a train driver, over twenty years ago, one of the jobs we had to do at London Victoria was to put the empty trains into the sidings after the morning rush-hour. My old instructor told me that we have to take a couple of large carrier bags with us when we do this job because we would gather up all the discarded newspapers left by the commuters and take them back to the Mess Room for our fellow drivers to read. There were always a predominance of The Sun, followed by the Mail, Mirror and then the broadsheets. Sometimes there would be the Express or the Star but there were always plenty to satisfy most tastes.

For the last ten or so years, it is extremely rare to find any paid-for newspapers on any train after the rush hour. Just a carpeting of Metros, which no-one wants to read.

The buying public ain't buying them from what I see, (or they are holding on to them because they cost so much!)

I used to like Morning Joe, but not so much now. Like you say his sanctimonious rants are pretty tiresome, plus he's a massive Dipper's fan.

Nicole Wallace is usually very good on Deadline Whitehouse. TRMS and The Beat are my go to shows. I normally listen to the Beat live via the TuneIn radio app (through VPN) and I download TRMS/The Last Word/11th Hour via podcast. Don't listen to the 11th hour that much now since Brian Williams left.

Chuck Todd can f*ck right off though.

BBC news app
BBC Sport app

That's it really. I get accused of reading The Mail on here because I don't support Labour, which puts me in a minority it seems. I say don't support them but I voted for them last week as I have done locally for years.

Rarely log onto, and never buy, any newspapers!

I've recently turned to James O'Brien on LBC who's been a revelation. While I've never been a fan of dial-ins, he invariably conducts himself with wisdom, self-deprecation and humour, a rare mix that seems to attract a better class of caller. Also, unlike those employed by the BBC, he's not constrained by the need to remain entirely independent and impartial on any given topic. If, however, you happen to be a Brexit supporting, Tory voting, mildly racist Little Englander, stick with the right-wing propaganda sheets like the Daily Heil.

None of it tbh. Its all cack.

I read both left and right news articles for whichever subject I am reading then make my own mind up because they're all shisters telling lies and looking for clicks.

The media is what is wrong with this country, and they and Ian Hislop should just fuckoff with their antiquated argument about freedom of the press protecting democracy. The world has moved on from that, we dont need so called newspapers ruining peoples lives or bullying individuals in the name of News.... Hate them hate them hate them with a passion.

So you don‘t read none of it?

Nah, I am not a fanboy of any particular one no. If I want to know about what Trump has just said I read Fox and NBC/ABC for the middle ground truth because they all twist it.
Not calling you out, you just said you didn’t read any of it, before then saying you read both left and right articles!

Skynews and BBC, mainly via their apps.

Don’t read newspapers, don’t do twitter, don’t do Facebook.
