Dame Barbara Windsor RIP

When I heard the news this morning I had to sit down, I will admit to a slight tear as I thought of my childhood, growing up with those Carry On films. So rude in their day to us youngsters and so funny, they summed up Britain and Barbara summed up 1970's Britain. 2020 has taken some lovely people from us, perhaps none more so than our Babs, The true Queen of Hearts and the best landlady in the business :-)
It was the one Last Orders I didnt want to hear called.

Leslie Philips is still around. I just so happened to come across him the other week and was amazed to see he was still alive, pushing a ton. So is Bernard Cribbins, although I don’t think he was in that many.
Bernard Cribbins is good in Carry on Spying (1964) which was I think Barbara Windsors first Carry on (and the last in b&w) if I recall. I loved those films as a kid, but must add, that after Carry on Camping, they went downhill, and never liked the 1970s ones so much.

Leslie is 96 and Bernard 91, bloody good ages for both.

Loved LP in the "Navy Lark" and with BC can not forget the song "Hole in the Ground".
