Devastating news, so very sad ... she has always been an idol of mine ever since the day i first saw her in the Avengers in the mid sixties ... she was probably the first girl i ever really had 'a crush on', and i was only about eight or nine years old!

For me only Alexandra Bastedo of the Champions came anywhere near close to Diana Rigg ...and both women are now sadly deceased , as is Patrick McNee.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is my favourite Bond film. She was a big part playing an elegant and sophisticated Tracy briefly becoming Mrs Bond. I liked George Lazenby's performance and wish he did another film too.

Please OP - Its DAME Diana Rigg - please lets honour her memory with her full name and title. A great actress with a glittering career behind her - this is really sad news RIP Dame Diana.

As a side note I always find it amazing that her daughter Rachel Sterling looks so much like her.
