Wrote something on Alves and how his imminent signing has divided us Blues.

Excellent read, as usual. I did enjoy this comment, however:

"Under previous owners and managers we had to give short contracts to over the hill journeymen footballers because City were on their beam ends that's now not the case. Mills, Fowler, Seaman, MacManaman, Cole, and well before your time, Freddy Hill (look him up)... This is a final payday for an old mate, nothing more and an insult to the supporters."

Fancy thinking Mills, Fowler, Seaman, McManaman and Cole were ever on the same level as Dani Alves!

I disagree. He has been caught out plenty of times over the years, one of the reasons top clubs keep moving him on and replacing instead of keeping him around.

Feel like this'll go round in circles tbh so we'll just wait and see what happens next season. I hope he can adapt (and it is more hope than expectation).
You might want to retract this comment.

Yaya left Barca (or was moved on) because he wasn't good enough to displace Busquets, Xavi or Iniesta in their midfield.

Doesn't mean it wasn't a great signing for us but he wasn't good enough for them.
KDB wasn't good enough for Chelsea then?

You really think Alves wasn't good for Barca or Juve?

Why are you putting words in my mouth? Haha. You asked about Yaya, that's why he left. You'll have to ask Mourinho why he got rid of KDB.

No I do think he was good, but I think he's now on the decline and that bringing him in is a risk because he'll struggle to adapt. If we're bringing him in as first choice I think it could potentially end in disaster. He's 34 years old.

But there's no evidence to back up your assertion that he's on the decline.

We are still in for Walker as well anyway.
