Our pre-season starts on Monday? We leave for US what next Friday? It surely has to be done before that?
 
Okay so still 10 days to go. I think we can expect Alves to come here on 15th and Sign everything on 16th and leaves with team on 17th. Same with Mendy perhaps.
 
I don't think there will be a PR thing over in the states for Alves or Mendy. I also don't know why Alves and Mendy, if they are "done," wouldn't be obligated to report to training on the 10th like everyone else. Alves hasn't played any football since the CL final and Mendy, if he's staying at Monaco, would have to report back to training there on Monday. The training and fitness tests that occur the week before they go stateside I'm sure are important.

I can see announcements/unveilings taking place on the US tour for Walker and Sanchez but not for PR purposes, but due to longer negotiations.
 
Why would you pay wages to someone who's still on their hols, it doesn't make sense.
I'm sure everything is agreed & a date is set to join.

I can't remember one. Raheem signed while the boys where in Australia but the club did all the interview, photos, etc at the CFA and then he flew to meet up with the squad. If City was into overseas PR driven unveilings that would've been an ideal situation (huge price tag, England international, forced a move from a rival) but it was a regular announcement from what I remember...

Nope. it makes absolutely zero sense from a commercial sense. That's two huge pieces of news that will generate interest and keep the club in the headlines for a while individually, why the hell would they want to lessen that impact, especially when they're out in America to promote the brand.
 
Medical early next week Mon or Tuesday then with a signing on Wednesday. If the medical was scheduled for Wednesday they would have said middle of the week. :-)
 


If the medical is early in the day then the annoucement should be the same day... a la Bernardo.
