No the real facts are Danny was offered half of what anyone esle received for the same job,( leaving out the amounts because I like most think the money side of football is daft).

Now I dont care who you are and what you do, if your gaffer called you in and offered you half pay you would walk, if you dont value yourself no one will.

And as for me being against Hughes........I most certainly am, his ideas or lack of them are totally opposed to the way I think the game should be played, I think his tactics on and off the pitch are contempable, his team selection p*ss poor, and the damage he and his coaching staff are doing within the club must be curtailed as soon as possible by his removel.

The Danny situation is of his making..................Hughes was a lout as a player, and now the same as a manager.

He set him up for two goals v Stoke, one v Blackburn, and that's just goals.

I don't know what type of industry you work in, but where I work all Grades have different salary entry points dependant on where the management and HR see you fit in. The same should be said about football. Maybe the previous regimes at City were giving too much to soon to the young academy lads which took away their hunger... surely if there was a figure for moving up into a senior contract then he would have got that figure. Your facts are based on what you have heard and your total lack of respect and dislike of Mark Hughes and his coaching staff.

If I was keen / loved the organisation (ie City), then I would take whatever was on offer and ensure that I put in 110% effort to ensure that at my next performance review I get the hike which I feel I deserve.

remember even if he was offered £11K a week, that is more than waht some people earn in a year and he is only 19. This is only about money and his ego... Take the £11K or whatever is being offered and prove the people wrong. By showing this attitude he is coming across as a mard arse

Totally spot on.

At the start of Hughes regime, huge contracts were given to Johnson and Richards; youngsters who had places in the starting XI and had proved themselves (at that time). Management have been rewarded by Johnson being injured and Richards under-performing all season.
Most of Sturridges' appearances have been from the bench, and he has also been injured a lot.
All this are actual facts, and will make any manager (be it football, or a company), simply think twice before offering a bonanza payout!
