Daniel Sturridge - FACTS

He will make it, its not an if but a when, and even a where if we dont get rid of Hughes and hios muppet coaching staff.

Well. I've left jobs because I didn't like the boss so not going to judge him there. Still, the suggestion that it's him or the manager makes it an easy decision no matter what you think of Hughes. Will be a shame to see Danny go.

I belive he wants out, Hughes has said several times we've made him genorous offers. I've give up on him he's gonna in my eyes

Well said, Immaculatepasta, there are some strange supporters we have. Its like an attitude of enjoy through hating individuals, it gives them a sense of importance.

my opinion was Sturridge played badly on purpose. He meant to lose possession,to prove what I dont know.It was just so obvious watching him that he couldnt care.He probably didnt even want to come on.

So he didn`t sulk or moan, but was a good lad and kept his head down after turning down the chelski offer to stay with the club, was offered less than half of comparable players when moving over to the first team set up, by a manager who was not sure he was good enought..................well that ok then.

There was me thinking he was a very good prospect with every right to expect parity with other graduates of the accademy, or not have the manager express doubts about his ability and take the p*ss by offering him half pay, and the freedom to say ok fine, I`ll go thanks, without the hatchet job via the media when Hughes cottons on he`s f*cked up

OK if I was in his position and I was loyal and passionate about the place, I would try my hardest to prove this manager wrong by doing everything possible, being motivated, working hard, team work etc

I would even take the pay on offer and go out and bang a load of goals in next season to get a much improved offer. Is he such a sulk that just because he isn't getting what he wants he will throw his toys out of the pram, sulk and do one.

Footballers are renegotiating there contracts every year. Sturridge should go out there an prove his worth.. I never boo him, but believe me if you want, I am friends with people who know him very well and his head is way up his own arse..

there are only two forwards in the first team squad worth keeping at present....one of them is sturridge and the other is bojinov........the rest (not including Jo in this as he is not at the club at present) can be sold.

vass
bejani
evans
caceido

all need to go in the summer

No one should boo a young player; Sturridge, Caicedo, Evans. I think Sturridge will be good in time but a player who has not signed a new contract and is days from leaving is less deserving of support than one who is committed to the club.

Again none deserve to be booed.

Danny should sign no matter who the manager is, Caicedo shows good promise, Evans I doubt is going to make the very top class. If Danny goes to Chelsea, the new manager, the next manager or one after (they change regular) may not rate him, just like Hughes at the start and he may not even play. At least now I think he is starting to win over Hughes, with his effort and on field performances; just like Elano. Like or hate Hughes he can make Sturridge a top player for City and England, Danny just needs to buckle down and learn fast. Even Elano has learnt to play and perform for 90 minutes or be dropped, and thats a good thing.

It's clear Sturridge's head has been turned, the bright lights of London and the chance to play in the chumps league. The fact he won't get a game anytime soon (can't see him replacing Drogba or Anelka can you) and what happened to SWP should be enough to put him off, but I seriously doubt it. Shame as he looks 10 times the player Evans is (at the mo)

doesn't help his cause not passing to players in better positions (and getting caught with the ball) whatever is happening off the pitch . he's got great control but also greedy.
That is true, there was an opportunity around 60 mins where he took an extremely acute shot, instead of giving it to Ireland who was moving unmarked up the middle.
But he is young and will gain that vision.
All in all I hope he stays, but if he does not, fair enough. He saw out his contract. That is all he is required to do.

Is it me or does it seem that he does not like to pass it to Robinho?
