Daniel Sturridge plz stay

From what ive seen of him i think he is an okay player and will do well in his career playing for teams in the bottom 7 or 8 of the Prem!

Where have people seen him display more quality than this!?

I`m sure he wont be the last young person who has been given bad advice by money hungry people in a professional sport, then goes on to regret it...

Went into the Citizens Suite for the Forest game as it was my birthday. They always have a player come up after the game to answer questions and all credit to Studge, he came up after despite the sh!te game.

A couple of girls on our table were non-footy fans and didn't have a clue who he was. After this Q&A session with Gary Owen, they turned to us and said they thought he came across as very arrogant.

Nuff said!

It really does amaze me sometimes what I read on here. The amount of people slagging off our younger players, particulary Ched Evans.OK he is probably never going to make a top premiership player, but correct me if I am wrong when he does get a chance to play he gives everything he as got, never seems to complain and just gets on with it.

Sturridge comes across as a young lad with a big ego who sulks like a baby.Personally I would rather have 11 players with the attitude of Evans and playing Championship football than 11 Sturridges playing in the premiership.

Some of the younger footballers around seem to think they are worth a lot more money than there talent deserves. If Sturridge had the talent of a young Pele or Best then maybe his demands would be more plauseable. But if he and his like do not really want to play in a City shirt then get rid of them.Just remember the old saying no player is bigger than the club.

If Boj isn't fit then he should be in the team ahead of Caicedo for me. It's probably the reason why he wants to go, he sees Caicedo in the team ahead of him and thinks "I'm better than him yet he won't give me a chance."

We saw what he could do and how well he links up with Robbie against Stoke.

Hope he follows the route of previous City players and signs for a club with genuine prospects and high ambition, y'know like Preston, Portsmouth....

Sturridge should fuck off out of our club. Big headed tosser already thinking he's bigger than the manager and the club.

He's chucking it all away, the richest club in the world with all these plans and yet he's not afraid to put his career on the line for a few extra 0's. Prick.

Agreed.

Sturridge was our big hope before we got the money - he was going to be City's saviour - a bit like Roy of the Rovers stuff in peoples heads. Now we're rich we don't need him and it's probably right for him to move on - don't think his attitude helps either - instead of doing his talking on the pitch and proving his doubters wrong he's sulked his way through the last few months and looks as though he's not upto fighting for his job if he really wants to be at this club.

If he'd signed the new contract he would have been ahead of Caceido.

He did very well against Schalke, Blackburn and Stoke but apart from that he was very ordinary.

If he goes to Chelsea, he'll disappear like SWP, unable to perform every week, cos that's the minimum they expect.

Looks like he's already agreed a deal with either Chelsea or Villa.

yh hes gonna start every game at chelsea aint he the tosser
Probably not, but he knows for a fact that Mark Hughes isn't going to be their manager next season and, from what I've heard, that's his major gripe about staying at City.

So he goes and signs on for four years at villa or four years at arsenal and has a fall out with o'neill or wenger what does he do then, throw his toys out of the pram and refuse to play, which is what he will have to do cos clubs aint gonna be lining up to buy him and this time it will be for a fee.

Im not exactly enamoured with my manager but i do my job to the best of my abilities because thats whats expected of me, this kid has done nothing so far to warrant him throwing a paddy just cos he doesnt like the manager, yeah he was ok against blackburn and schalke but he was dreadful against forest and in other matches, like i lot of people have said on here when you show the talent to match the attitude then fine, u wont be liked for having the attitude but at least people can say well he is an important part of the time. At the mo all people are seeing is a spoilt kid.

Whilst I take your point, there is also a perfectly reasonable flip side to your argument.

He doesn't get on with his manager, he's completed his contract with the company, and has had a decent offer from another company in exactly the same industry. If you don't get on with your boss and you're offered a perfectly reasonable alternative, you'd be mad not to take it. I know I would.

Fully agree with you and I would do the same, but my point is that maybe he needs to reign his attitude in a bit in order to get on with any manager!
