Danny Bradley RIP

So incredibly sad this thread yet uplifting at the same time thanks to the bravery of those that knew him posting at such a sad time.
 
Sorry to hear of your loss Jackie and same to his friends. Very sad.
 
At the start of the second half in home games, me, my uncle, Danny and Alan would eat our "Lucky Pies" as City would usually score while we were eating them. All down to the pies, of course! I'll remember Danny cheering away with us, singing "Eat the pie and we will score!" A lovely, warm-hearted man who will be sadly missed.
 
I only knew Danny for a short time.I had moved into the seat vacated by Paul. Shortly after I arrived for the first match of that season
someone with a warm smile held out his hand and said "Hello. I'm Danny" We became firm friends immediately.We were aligned politically, we had the same interests and also of course our total passion for MCFC. Danny had a great intelligence, but also a modesty and humility that endeared him to all who met him. He would often meet my train from London and on one occasion promised me a fine dining experience. It was a local caff on the way to the stadium where we stuffed ourselves with plates of pie,chips and peas. After games we would walk back towards his flat along the canal and have a couple of pints in The Green before I returned to London. The last time we met up was for the West Ham match. His mischievous humour was always bubbling away with poor Geraldine the fall girl. We were discussing season ticket renewals and he told her we were all moving up a tier to take advantage of the new padded seats, particularly as Barry and I were getting on a bit . So he was going to become our carer in the posh seats.She was aghast until she realised he was joking and slapped us both on our arms.
Danny told me he was going over to Ireland to catch up with some friends before his planned trip to Australia. He was going to stay with my family if he had a late flight. I last spoke to him on the 16th May.
Dear Jackie. Love from Paul, Geraldine ,Barry, Malcolm, Alan and the rest of block 123. Our tears are falling like a gentle rain.
 
Any loss of a brother which a fellow blue is to me is devastating to me my condolences go out to his family and everyone who was fortunate enough to know him R.I.P mate.
 
Jackie. What wonderful tributes to your wonderful brother! As King_Ralph_Blumer beautifully & respectfully started these tributes, I would now like to add my own. Like Paul I've known Danny for eight or nine years now and had the privilege to sit next to him for all that time. I too have witnessed first hand his generosity when queueing up for cup tickets, as I was with my brother ARG64 & my nephews when Danny told us to go home and he'd get our tickets. Nothing was EVER too much trouble for him!! We had some great laughs at the games & some tears too.....in our more trying games but Danny would never lose heart, always keeping positive about OUR MANCHESTER CITY!!!! He always kept us up to date with the other games going on in the premiership too, with his little radio plugged into his right ear......or was that just to block out my screams, I wonder?? People were important to Danny, friends, colleagues & family alike and I'm proud to be able to class myself as his friend. He made a huge impact on the lives of all who knew him, including my son Richard who is shocked and saddened to hear of Danny's passing. Match days in the Colin Bell Stand won't quite be the same again.....I will miss you pulling my leg Danny, I will miss that little radio buzzing away but most of all, I will miss you, a true Gentleman!
