Danny Ings

I think the average football supporters know what Danny Ings is like you've only got to watch a few of his games to assess what he's like

Danny Ings is the kind of marquee signing we’d have made pre 2008

he’s a good striker but not young and he has a poor injury record

I really can’t believe we’re seriously in for him. He’s not the player we need to potentially replace the best striker the club has ever had and improve the team even more

I guess the question would be what would his cost be. I don't think anyone genuinely feels he'll come in and be the Aguero replacement but, with a year left on his deal, would he be worth a punt at circa 10m? HG, clinical striker and offers him a chance to win trophies. I'm not sure how he fits in exactly with our squad management but it's not a horrible idea.

Decent player but not fit to replace Sergio. He would be a good backup but we already have Jesus for that role. Agent touting him about with his contract running down. He would be a good signing for Leicester to replace steptoe imo.

Good player but can't stay fit, however as a plan B option I'd be all for it, he would score plenty. Unfortunately the story is made up bollocks, drummed up by his agent as his contract needs renewing. Same old story, Messi did it now Danny Ings

The only silly explanation for this story to come out is an attempt from the media or rival clubs via the media to make Haaland believe he is not wanted by City and therefore chooses another club.
Do you really think Alfie, Erling and Raiola are actually going to believe that City are contemplating between Erling Haaland and Danny fucking Ings in the same position and then deny City? Danny Ings has 1 more season left at Southampton, so he's just trying to get the best possible wages, or build up a possible transfer.

City are okay with this, because it acts as a perfect smokescreen, so while we pursue Haaland, the media (want to) believe we are after Ings.
