This guy isn't nearly the level of player we need, an overpriced English player who doesn't shine in a Spurs side that's 10 points south of us and that's in a season in which we've been largely abysmal.
Rose is no better, and in many aspects worse, than the two left backs we have already; his main talent appears to be that he's English. If we are that set on signing an English player, then the sort of guys we should be looking at are Natahnial Clyne, Ross Barkley, Raheem Sterling or at a push as a 3rd/4th striker Charlie Austin. All of these would at least add something to our current squad.
However the biggest problem we have - as so many have pointed out - is that for the past 3 years we've largely bought squad players who have added very little, Fernandinho being the exception hence our best players now are still the ones we had when we won the league in 2011/12. Its glaringly obvious so seeing us linked to Danny Rose, Danny Ings and that overrated ponce Wilshere just indicates we are heading down the same track.
Id rather retain most of the squad we have, spend £75m on Pogba and have him as the only signing. We need top class players, not more bloody squad fillers. You are far better having 1 outstanding player, then 5-6 OK ones - see Liverpool FC in comparison in seasons 2013/14 and 2014/15 as a glaring example.
