Danny Sturridge

Re: Let Sturridge Go

it's silly to sell him on the risk that he might leave. better to keep him on he possibility he will resign. not as if we need the money.

Thought he was from Manchester actually not birmingham?

Daniel Andre "Danny" Sturridge (born 1 September 1989 in Birmingham, West Midlands) is an English footballer who currently plays as a striker for Manchester City.

Defo a Brummie just like his Unc Dean - the dopey accent gives it away. Only Onuoha and Johnson are Manchester lads.

I think some of you are missing the point of the OP - he is saying if he isnt going to sign a contract then get some money in now rather than risk losing him for nothing.

However as he is 23 and brought up through the ranks are we entitled to some compensation if he lets his contract run out anyway?
.

he isnt 23, he is 19, and why let him go when he can learn off robinho he has had some good games and bad games

Think he meant Under 23 so we should be entitled to something if it goes to tribunal. Coventry get a big % of any sell on fee as we nicked him off them when he was 14. Just like the Richards and Oldham deal.

You see i thought that originally but when the derby was on the other week they were saying the only manc in either squad from Sturridge.

Re: Let Sturridge Go

Should never of let him get to the last year of a contract.

Sturridge will be leaving in the Summer for Villa. Fee to be set by a tribunal - probably around £1.5m

Re: Let Sturridge Go

i said in the summer that i doubted he would sign a contract and i still believe it

that guy who shouted his mouth off about signing a world XI has made some of the youngsters disillusioned

I think he meant under 23, as that's the age when you can get some cash for developing the player (although I suspect it won't be £10m).

He must have been offered a contract - and to think he isn't being respected on the back of a handful of starts is just a joke. Most times he's played 90 minutes he's not made a huge impact, which isn't a surprise given he's just starting out. I bet he's being offered a good wage and if he looks around at what we're paying people now he's got a chance to earn much more in a season or so.

Come on Mr Doom - Is that your opinion or do you know a bit more. I hope you are wrong!

Re: Let Sturridge Go

I think if there is any truth in the rumour that Sturridge is to leave,
It means that MH is not going to give any of the youth set up a chance. In my opinion he
has the capability to be one of the best english forwards in the premier leuge,
As for arrogant maybe but so are all the better players.
