Darren Fletcher - What is the point of him?

Listen, don't you go slagging off John O'shay, someone has to do the dirty work!

I think the last thing he did of any significance was miss a one yard sitter at Platt Lane end when we beat them 3-1 at Maine Road.

Reading the "Manchester XI" article in the MuEN and he was picked to play in a fantasy combined side. (by the rag reporter)

Am i the only the only one who thinks he's the piss poor scottish version of Phil Chuckle (yes, even poorer!) who gets away with murder every weekend with his continuous fouling of whoever happens to be the oppositions best player.

He is an over rated twatpot in my eyes, hence i ask "Darren Fletcher - What is the point of him?"

Exactly he gets away with a lot of hacking and stonewalled obstruction.
See pic of his stonewalled expression after diving

Is that your point?

But we had Wallace on, Riordan, Kyle, Robson, McCormack and Fletcher - they all came on and I looked in vain to see real impact.

There was no impact made and no leadership. I was praising the captain Darren Fletcher before the game.

And I was saying what a wonderful example he was. But when you're in difficulty you need a man there, a real man amongst these boys to take a grip of them and get them organised

Don't you think he is overhyped?

average player, who non stop fouls the opponents for 90 mins, week in week out.

yet very rarely gets a caution ( hmmmm, wonder why?)

and on the one game in ten when he does get booked, its normally in the last 5 mins when

his mighty team are home safe and dry.

Fergie is able to deploy him effectively because referees defer or are intimidated by the hagersnash. Alas for Scotland, Fletcher is exposed for what he is.

Take the blue glasses off and stop being deluded.

Darren Fletcher is a big reason why United won the league and got to the CL final last year as he was probably there most consistent performer. And I include Tranny and Rooney in that.

He marked Ireland out of the game at OT last season and this season. Oh and he scored two goals against us.

That's only because he's relativley tall and we're piss-poor at stopping crosses/set pieces.

He's fucking useless and he's got nothing on De Jong/Ireland/Barry.
